Social networking on your phone: What else do you need?

Nowadays, every smart phone comes with a wide variety of social networking apps. Some of the most common apps as mentioned in earlier posts are Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Viber and so many more. These social networking sites are now changing the world.  One of the main reasons for thier expansion are that they are easy available. For example, if you have a windows phone, accessing facebook is so easy as it can be placed on the home screen. Here's a link to their FAQ. http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp7/people/facebook-on-my-phone-faq People become so lazy that they don't have to press multiple buttons to access this app. It's right there and makes it so fast for the people to connect. The easy availability of these apps make phone calls seem like more work.  Social networking on your phone has also grown to community building. I discovered this app. It's called motribe.  http://motribe.com/ You can connect with people in your community. Sa...

Social networking: Different apps

Now that the internet has taken over the world, social media has become an important part of communication. Applications such as facebook and twitter have boomed in the communication field. Other apps that dominate the communication world are flipboard, whatsapp, viber, pinterest and so on. Each app has its own purpose. Even though they are different from each other, all of them require the internet and are free. Although whatsapp requires a fee for new users, it is one of the major free texting service available in the app store. Flipboard, stumble upon are apps that give latest news in one page whether it is the news, technology, twitter, facebook, photography, youtube or anything else. In short, the app gives all the updates in one page. Whatsapp as mentioned earlier is a free texting service. Anyone can text anyone in the world. All they need is the internet, contact info and they can chat away. After the creation of whatsapp, sms has practically died. People used to spend money o...

Networking with people

"Competition for jobs is fierce but networking is one way of differentiating yourself as a stellar candidate. Recently, I read the e-book, "Stop Job Searching, Start Networking" from Job Bound , a career-services company. According to Job Bound, 66% of all jobs are won through networking, so much of your job-search time should be concentrated on spreading the word about your credentials, in addition to applying for open positions found through publicly available listings (a target company's website, online job boards, craigslist, etc.)." http://www.wisebread.com/networking-basics-for-regular-people Do you think you don't have enough contacts? This website has some helpful hints on how to connect with people and present yourself to the world. There is a way to saying that your out of a job and that your looking for one. Social networking

Another kind of networking that has taken over the world is social networking. It has changed face to face communication. Social networking has both pros and cons. One of the advantages would be that social networking helps spread news faster. A disadvantage might be that unwanted and personal information gets published to the world. What is social networking? "A social networking service is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the building of social networks or social relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. A social network service consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Most social network services are web-based and provide means for users to interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Online community services are sometimes considered as a social network service, though in a broa...

Networks 1

There are different kinds of networks. It can be related to computer science, social media or even communication with people can be called networking. One kind of networking I read about today is Network backup. "A home network backup system maintains copies of your personal electronic data files in case of computer failures, theft or disasters. You can manage your own home network backups or choose to use an online service. Considering the impact of possibly losing irreplaceable family photos and documents, the time and money you spend on network backups is almost certainly a worthwhile investment." http://compnetworking.about.com/od/homenetworking/a/networkbackup.htm This website has information about how to have a backup for your computer system incase of a crash or something. I am really not a techy person but this website had some useful info. It was easy to understand and at the same time had valuable information.

Second Life

I came across this phase called the second life in one of my text books. I did some research on life after death and wanted to find out what the similarities were to second life. For those of you who don't know what second life is.. Second life is like avatar land (for lack of a better term). People go into sleep mode or a gaming console and begin a video game life. This time it's not game but it's actual life where you can have a salon, church, family, grocery store.. Whatever you want. The one good thing about it is you actually get paid for what you do. Be it income or investment, it will all be transferred to your bank account. So yes, you can make money with your eyes closed. http://secondlife.com/whatis/ Here's an article about how second life affects real life http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1739601,00.html Turns out, what you are in your head is what you are in second life. You are the judge of who you are. Well, this makes me want to say tha...

Is evangelism for everyone-Conclusion to heaven and hell

Who should evangelize? http://www.theologynetwork.org/christian-beliefs/the-church/starting-out/who-should-evangelise.htm Concluding on the heaven and hell series.. One of the main reasons for me to do some research on this topic is because my grandfather visited heaven multiple times and has even written a book about it, "Insight into heaven." I have never doubted the existence of heaven and hell. Maybe it is because I have been raised with the belief in mind and know no other theory beside it. It may also be because I have experienced the Jesus in my life, who lives in heaven and in my heart. Either one! Another factor that got me to do some reading is because I witness to so many people who already know about Christ and are intellectuals and still refuse to believe in Christ and after life. People who believe in YOLO. It's a fun term.. but is it true was my initial question. For all you people out there wondering how to evangelize to our intellectual friends, her...

Who is in hell?

Yes, I am still researching about heaven and hell.. It really does exist. After life is real. Here's a little girl who went to heaven and hell and back. Her testimony is on the link below http://www.testimoniesofheavenandhell.com/2011/03/angelica-zambrano-was-shown-the-kingdoms-of-heaven-and-hell-and-the-return-of-christ/ Angelica Zambrano was a little girl when Jesus took her to heaven and hell. She barely had lived her life on earth. What makes her witness different from the others is that she already knew she was going to die and come back to life. In her testimony she says a church member comes and prays with her and her family and prepares for Jesus to take her around heaven and hell.  Going to heaven, she mostly talks about how Jesus holds her hand, weeps for the lost, and has the wounds still in his hands and feet. Most of her testimony is about hell where she sees famous people on earth that were considered great. They had so much power, greatness, fame and wealth on...

Home on high

Here's another heaven and hell testimony I came across. http://www.heavenvisit.com/Yong_Gyu_Park.php This pastor died as he was sick. Angels came and took him to heaven and hell and showed him intricate details of houses built in heaven. Also why people are thrown in hell. He explains in the text and video how there are three different types of houses in heaven. He says that even in heaven there are houses for the people who have lived a pleasing life on earth, people who shamefully entered heaven and children who died before the accountability age. The pastor is then taken to hell to see that there are two parts in hell. One with utter darkness and one which is red because of burning sulphur.  As I was watching his explanation video, I wondered what the requirements were to get into heaven. In the beginning of his video, he says Jesus asked  him five questions about evangelizing, reading the Bible, praying, tithing and offering in the church....

After life

Okay! This is kinda strange for me to blog about coz I really haven't given a lot of thought to it. There may be millions and millions of religions in the world. Western, Eastern.. Whatever they are.. How many believe in the existence of heaven and hell? How many believe in miracles and angels? I was researching about this girl who visited heaven and hell recently and came back alive. Her story is so impacting that it made believe everything she said. Yes, I do believe in after life but how many people out there believe the same thing I do? YOLO- You only live once. Does that really exist? Even if its true, how many religions really believe in it? How many texts are written about it? How do you prove it? Here's a link to a website I came across that has living testimonies from people who were healed, visited heaven and hell and even saw real angels. http://www.testimoniesofheavenandhell.com/category/miracles-and-angels/

Music

I've noticed that music around the world is so different. Yet, they can all convey the same message. Be it joy or sadness music can express the innermost feeling! Whatever the genre, every note comes from the same black and white keys in an octave!
