My heart was full. I got to spend the day with these amazing people. They have a mission in life and it amazes me to see the faith they have to accomplish it. I learnt from them that society can say demeaning things about you but if you set your mind to something, you can achieve it. The scripture "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the Earth" came alive. 
What they do is not easy. What they sacrifice for their children is not fun. What they eat, drink is not the best. Where they sleep is not luxurious but what they have is something money can't buy nor any man provide. Happiness.. Something today's world struggles to find. I learnt that everyday is made better when you learn to enjoy the simple things in life. 
Money won't last.. Fame won't last.. Love will last.. Joy will last.. 
What a day! I can never forget. 

Sometimes we think other people need help. People who don't earn as much as us or people who don't have the things we have. Sometimes it can be the other way round. It can be people like us (caught up with the pressures of the world) who need help. When you set your mind to something, distractions can get in the way. Specially for people who know/exposed to much, falling off track is easy coz we don't see it coming (or sometimes jus don't admit to being off-track). But having simple desires and big dreams can be the perfect balance to life. Finding happiness in the things we do can take us to achieve the dreams we have dreamed for ourselves. 
Oh what a day!

    this reminds me of the verse which says the pure in heart shall see god.......god bless them and u .

Coming from nowhere. Or is it?

When I was a teenager, I used to look at 21 or 23 year olds who were successful, independent, funny and beautiful, and think someday I wanted to be like them. I thought they were so happy with their friends, hanging out at the coolest scenes and being their best self. I thought growing up must be fun and everything in life comes easy when you have a job, an apartment and a car..... But maaan, was I wrong!  You know how they say life is not a bed of roses? That's so true. Getting older, only means life is going to throw more curve balls at you, responsibility is taken up to a whole new level and chores reduce down to nothing. As each day passes, things change, you meet new people, make new business connections, dream new dreams, demands increase and honestly, your just not the same 14 year old who can eat all the candy you want. That ray of light

I want to start by saying that my last blog post was kinda depressing. Although real, it was more on the sad side. I want to take this moment and shoutout to all those who supported me and told me how much you could relate, and also told me its ok, these things happen. It really means a lot to me that you are reading what I have to say and walking with me through this journey. I know that there is a long way to go and these are just pricks along the way but you just being there and encouraging me is worth much. I have a dream.... and I can see it in my head. It feels as though it's so close that I can touch it... but I know there are stops that I have to make, turns I have to take and unexpected things that are always gonna come my way. Success is nothing without failure. Happiness is nothing with sorrow. So yes, I'm willing to go on this journey and take you along with me on the roller coaster called life. I fully accept all that comes with moulding myself to be the best at...

Can one exist without the other?

Today's thought: In Undergrad, I had to take a class that debated between calling and vocation. I now ask YOU to think about that difference. Story time: I have a friend who is a doctor. During the day, she saves lives and helps people. She loves doing that and it also helps with her expenses (Vocation). When she comes home and closes her eyes, she asks God to take her to the secret places and hidden spaces (Isa 45:3). She believes that when she does this, God will reveal His plans for her life (Calling). Here's more to think about on that topic. The question is whether we should simply (a) Bring Him in the dedication of our work to Him, in the integrity, diligence and humility with which we do it or also (b) Make His professed and explicit service our job. The A vocation rests on all men whether they know it or not; the B vocation only on those who are specially called to it.
